IMPORTANT - Full Covid-19 Compliance Info for JMDS Classes

Please read and bookmark this page for future reference. See you in class!

The following has been agreed with the hall managers

PRIOR TO THE START OF TERM

  • Parents will be sent a copy of this information.

  • Class sizes of no more than 16.

  • All classes to be pre-booked before our sessions commence.

SUNNYSIDE CHURCH HALL

  • Only students should enter the lobby unless they are too young to change their shoes on their own. Parents and other children must not use the lobby as a waiting room. The front of the lobby is glass so parents and students can see one another for safe drop off and collection.

  • Students should arrive in time to change for class but not earlier and should leave as soon as they have changed after their lesson

  • Students aged 11 and over should wear masks and maintain social distancing while in the lobby

  • Additional chairs should not be brought into the lobby from the Hall as people should not be in the lobby long enough to require extra seating

  • Wherever possible the lobby doors should be set to stay open. We recognise that this may not be practical once the weather turns but it should be the norm to ensure ventilation of the lobby.

  • Items forgotten by students should not be left in the lobby as lost property but taken by the teachers to bring back the following week to be reunited with its owners

  • In addition please note that ONLY the disabled toilet should be used.

WOODHALL FARM COMMUNITY CENTRE & POTTEN END PRIMARY SCHOOL

  • Students should enter through the front door only and leave through the double doors in the foyer, or leave directly from the escape doors from the main hall to the grassed area.

  • No parents/carers/siblings allowed to stay in the foyer. They should remain outside the building. Parents of younger children to be allowed access if watching trial lessons of young children in the main hall or if they require help to put on dance shoes.

  • Students will not be permitted into other rooms in the building.

  • Everyone entering & leaving the building to use the hand sanitizer.

  • We will work in rooms with windows and doors open as much as possible and will close these upon departure.

  • Parents to keep belongings to a minimum and students to arrive already in dance uniform, eliminating the need to change clothes.

  • Ballet barres will be wiped down after each session of use.

  • Disabled toilet will be in use. No other toilets will be in use.

  • Any students feeling ill with Covid symptoms will be isolated and their parents contacted immediately.

  • There will be no partner work.

  • The number of visitors on site must be kept to a minimum. Parents/carers are not allowed to stay on site: this includes waiting in the car park area. The school car park will not be available. Parking is available at Velvet Lawn, the playing field adjacent to the school, or on the local roads.

  • Students to enter the school via the pupil entrance from the turning circle, not the main entrance to the front of the school. From this gate enter the school through the entrance to the rear of the dining area.

  • Students to arrive dressed ready for the lesson. Changing areas will not be available.

  • Parents/carers of the younger students that may need help with ballet shoes, etc, will only be allowed into the servery area and then must leave the site until the end of the lesson.

  • We will provide a hand sanitizer containing 70% alcohol for all persons to use on entering the building.

  • Students must remain in the Drama Studio or Gym, whichever room is allocated for their lesson.

  • Social distancing should be observed as far as is reasonably practicable.

  • The only toilets to be used will be the changing area toilets. These will be cleaned by TC staff at the end of the school day and again at the end of JMDS classes.

  • All users to comply with any reasonable request made by the school on a day to day basis.
