The Nutcracker 2022

“Just a quick message to say what a superb couple of weekends M and I have had. The show was totally amazing (my mum commented that it was nearly on par with a West End show!! ) and the after party must become a yearly event!! It was awesome! Thank you for all your hard work.”

“Wowzers! What a show!!! I thoroughly enjoyed The Nutcracker and want to congratulate you on a super professional, charming performance.  That ballet is an absolute favourite of mine, and with the JMDS spin it was a real winner. Really, it was so magical. Bless all the JMDSers, they were amazing.”

“Just wanted to add my congratulations on an another amazing show. The girls loved every moment of it. A special thank you for asking E to step in - she relished the challenge.”

“Unfortunately M will not be returning to ballet after this term as we are moving away. I really appreciate the effort M’s teacher has made with her over the last year; I have seen her confidence grow and she has really enjoyed her time at JMDS. The other parents and teachers have always been extremely welcoming and informative also. It’s an amazing dance school that we will both miss! Thank you.”

"I just wanted to say that we all really enjoyed the show! Every bit of it. I obviously loved the part in which my little daughter took part the most, but I was truly amazed with some of the solo/duet acts. Very professional and emotional. What I liked the most though was the family feel, especially during presentation afternoon. K only joined JMDS recently but I already hope she will stay as long as possible and be the part of the JMDS family."

"As always E and I had a fantastic show weekend and I could not wish for a better environment for her to be part of. JMDS knocks spots off the other dance schools in my opinion, and I know E isn't the best dancer but the confidence you and your teachers give her says it all for me. Not that I am wishing the years away but I am sure she will have to be kicked out of JMDS kicking and screaming at 18!"

"Congrats on a wonderful showcase! The whole weekend was gorgeous, from the babies to the leavers. You’ve built a special school where kids and adults alike feel part of a family."

My daughter knows that she will never go on to some of the fantastic achievements past pupils have done, but that’s fine as it shows that even if you aren’t looking to follow a career in the performing arts, you can still learn and have lots of fun doing it. Taking part in the shows has meant a great deal to her, and she has gained a lot of confidence. JMDS is a quality school with quality, caring teachers. A really big thank you to everyone.
As I’m leaving JMDS I would just like to say the biggest THANK YOU! I’ve loved every second. The shows you produce are always such a high standard. JMDS has inspired me. I can’t say enough how grateful I am for what you and all of the teachers that taught me over the last 10 years. I will really miss you all. THANK YOU.
I would like to thank you for letting me be part of JMDS and providing me with not only some of the best friends but great shows that I will never forget. I have enjoyed immensely my nine years at JMDS - it has played a huge part in the person I now am. You have taught me discipline, professionalism and made me into quite the critic! I have enjoyed my role as Head Girl and I will sorely miss you, my teachers and all my fellow students - I can’t believe I am going to feel the pride of taking my very last curtsy in the Grand Finale this time. Thank you so much.
Thank you for everything that JMDS has done for me over the years. I’ve had so many wonderful opportunities because of your personal support and encouragement right from baby ballet days. This is something that I’ll never forget.
I want to thank you for all your support and help over the last eight years. I am really going to miss you all but don’t worry – you won’t get rid of me that easily. I am hoping you will let me come back and help out with the shows and choreography competitions. I am really excited about going to full-time college and promise to work hard so you can be proud of me. Thank you again for everything.
You encourage, motivate and inspire me. You help me with all my dancing and performing skills. I will never forget the fantastic shows and all the friends I have made.
I am so grateful to you. I wouldn’t have any of the confidence or presence I do today if it wasn’t for you and your school. I’m going to miss you, the school and all the girls so much. Thank you again so much for everything.
I wanted to let you know I got the drama scholarship at Berkhamsted School. Thank you.
I’ve been fortunate enough to be awarded a scholarship for Tring Park School for the Performing Arts. Sadly I will have to say goodbye to 12 years of Jayne Marie Dancing School. You have offered me so many experiences, and you gave me the chance to sing a solo for the first time in a British Arts Competition two years ago, which triggered my passion for singing. Thank you.
I have great memories of dance classes at Jayne Marie. I still can’t thank you enough for all the training you gave me from an early age. I audition for both dance roles and singing roles and without that early training that I had with you, I would definitely not have been able to pursue a career in this profession.
M has been to other dance schools but never quite fit in, and of course has been relentlessly teased for being a boy who wants to dance! I’m so glad he’s stuck at what he loves regardless. He genuinely loves his JMDS friends.
