Classical ballet is at the heart of all our activities at JMDS. Our students are taught the basic positions and movements from age two, progressing through the various grades by exams until, usually as teens, they display all the characteristics of dancers in the country's leading ballet companies. Some of our students take 14 years of memories away with them and on to other careers, while others pursue a place at full-time performers' colleges and go on to dance and perform professionally. In all cases, learning ballet gives our students poise, grace, confidence and presence. We are so proud of them!
